UPDATE TO THE CITY’S WATERING SCHEDULE
Governor Brown recently lifted his emergency declaration concerning water conservation. As a result, City of Fowler Resolution No. 2317, adopted by the Council on May 5, 2015, which imposed two day per week water restrictions during the spring/summer months, is no longer in effect.

NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE
MARIJUANA REGULATIONS
On November 1, 2016, the City Council of the City of Fowler adopted Ordinance Number 2016-03, addressing the medical and recreational use of marijuana. The vote to approve was as follows: Ayes: Cardenas, Parra, Hammer & Monis. Noes: None. Abstain/absent: None. The Ordinance is an update to the City’s existing regulations governing medical marijuana. The Ordinance does primarily two things:
1. Makes the City’s existing personal use cultivation requirements applicable to recreational marijuana cultivation if recreational marijuana becomes lawful in the State of California.
2. Imposes an express ban on all commercial marijuana operations that might be allowed under the Medical Marijuana (Cannabis) Regulation and Safety Act.
