Updates:
Sat Oct 12, 2024, 2:40pm. The repair has been completed and service is being restored. Staff are opening water valves and flushing hydrants. As there was not a loss in pressure to our system, no additional safety steps are necessary, and the water is safe to drink.
Yesterday, a telecom company’s subcontractor damaged a water line in an alley. City staff and our contractors worked late into the evening to identify the damage and begin repairs. Some service was restored early this morning. Repairs continue and we anticipate further restoration of service later today.
